What is ScentHarmonic?

ScentHarmonic is our fragrance-led playlist series — and the creative framework we have developed to shape it.

Created in collaboration with music industry professionals, ScentHarmonic pairs every Rosie & B wax melt with its own specially curated playlist.

Each playlist is tailored to reflect the profile and character of the fragrance it accompanies. The result is a layered experience that blends the art of scent with the emotional power of music — adding depth, atmosphere and connection to your surroundings.

Fragrance and Music
— a Multisensory Connection

Fragrance connects to memory, influences mood, and shapes how we feel — often before we are consciously aware of it. Music does the same.

ScentHarmonic is where they meet.

At Rosie & B, fragrance and music are paired to create something more immersive — sensory moments that draw us in and stay with us.

How the Playlists Work

Each ScentHarmonic playlist is guided by scent — a musical companion to the fragrance it reflects.

To create a playlist for a wax melt we analyse its scent in detail — its ingredients, its notes, the emotions it evokes, how it fills a space, and how it makes us feel. From this, a musical direction begins to emerge. Tracks are chosen only if they are a perfect fit.

Each playlist is then shaped with its own arc. Opening tracks set the tone, followed by more layered or expansive pieces, before the playlist moves towards a sense of resolution. The structure is carefully crafted — guided by harmony, key relationships, texture, dynamics and emotional pacing.

Most playlists include multiple genres. This diversity helps them feel emotionally alive, while staying rooted in the character of the scent.

How to Use a Playlist

Fragrance and music work together — scent fills the space, music helps to shape the mood.

To use a playlist, begin warming your Rosie & B wax melt and find the corresponding playlist on Spotify or Apple Music. Press play and let scent and sound unfold together. There is no fixed path — feel free to dip in and out as the moment allows — but listening from beginning to end allows the playlist to follow its arc.

Rosie & B playlists are crafted to accompany the moment — not to dictate it. And not necessarily every time; use them when you want to go deeper into the mood of the scent.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is ScentHarmonic different from other playlists?

Unlike most playlists built around general moods, ScentHarmonic playlists are inspired by fragrance — each one shaped to reflect the character and atmosphere of a specific scent.

Rather than background music, they are carefully crafted musical companions, designed to deepen the mood and help shape feeling through multisensory connection.

  • They begin with scent — each playlist is created in response to the emotional tone of a specific Rosie & B fragrance
  • They are curated by hand — not generated by algorithms, popularity or listening data
  • They follow a gentle arc — with a beginning, middle and end designed to carry the mood and avoid monotony
  • They draw from multiple genres — classical, pop, folk, ambient, jazz, film and more — shaping feeling, not following rules
  • They are made to hold the space — music that supports the atmosphere without overwhelming it

Some customers use them every time they melt a wax melt. Others dip in when the moment feels right. There’s no right or wrong — the playlists are there to accompany, not to instruct.

How do I find the playlist for my wax melt?

Each packet of 4 Rosie & B wax melts includes a card with QR codes linking directly to its matching Spotify or Apple Music playlist.

You can also find all playlists by browsing our Spotify or Apple Music profiles, or by visiting our dedicated playlist page.

(Links open in their respective app, if installed)

When should I use the playlist?

There is no set rule — it does not have to be every time you use your wax melts. Put on the playlist when you want to go deeper into the scent’s mood. Think of it as a companion, not a requirement.

Do I need Spotify or Apple Music to listen?

Yes — ScentHarmonic playlists are hosted on both Spotify and Apple Music. Spotify offers a free tier with adverts and limited playback features. Apple Music requires a subscription (or free trial).

What happens if I do not have the Spotify or Apple Music app?

If you do not have the app installed, links from the Rosie & B website and our QR cards will open in your web browser instead. You can still view the playlist and listen online — even without the app.

If you have a free account, playback may be shuffled or include short adverts (on Spotify). Apple Music may ask you to sign in with your Apple ID to listen in full.

I use the free version of Spotify — will the playlists still work?

Yes. You can still enjoy the playlist, although it will be shuffled automatically and may include adverts. To experience the playlist in its intended arc, we recommend using Spotify Premium or Apple Music.

Where can I find out more about ScentHarmonic?

If you would like to dive a little deeper into the thinking behind the playlists — how they are created, why fragrance and music are so closely linked, and how to get the most from the experience — you can download the free guide, A Guide to ScentHarmonic, here.

How do I listen — headphones or speakers?

Whichever suits your moment. A smart speaker will fill the room with atmosphere, while headphones offer a more intimate experience. Choose what helps you feel most connected.

We would love to know how you use ScentHarmonic — do get in touch and tell us.

What if I do not like every track?

That is completely normal. Our playlists are multi-genre and fragrance-led, which means you may discover artists or styles outside your usual preferences. We include a diverse range of music to shape coherent playlists that feel emotionally alive and support the scent’s mood.

Can I use the playlists without wax melts?

Absolutely — and some of our customers do. However, the full experience is designed to be sensory, with fragrance and music working hand in hand to offer a multisensory ritual.

Will you be adding more playlists?

Yes. Each time we release a new fragrance, it will be paired with its own playlist. We may also release additional playlists for existing fragrances — each one exploring a different nuance of the scent.

Do I need to follow Rosie & B on Spotify or Apple Music?

No — but we would love it if you did! Following makes it easier to stay up to date as new playlists are added, and it helps others discover our ScentHarmonic playlists too.

Can I customise a playlist?

Yes — on both Spotify and Apple Music, you can save a playlist to your own library and add or remove tracks. This will alter the arc, but it enables you to shape a version that feels personal to you.

We would love to know which tracks you feel enhance the ScentHarmonic experience — do get in touch and share your thoughts.

Can I suggest a track or artist?

Collaboration is part of the Rosie & B ethos, and we love hearing how our playlists resonate with customers. While each one is carefully crafted, we are always open to thoughtful suggestions — especially if a track reflects the character of a fragrance and fits within the arc of the playlist.

If something comes to mind, do get in touch.
